I've heard of these events before but I must admit, this was my first time witnessing a triathlon. All sarcasm aside, it was a thrill to watch. Usually this type of race starts out in the water but because of the setup and the fact that it was freezing outside, they broke out with running to warm up the participants.
I exercise regularly, but this was some serious motivation for me and would love to give it a stab someday. Kudos to everyone who indulged in the vigorous Sunday morning race.
